Heta Kuchka
Heta Kuchka is a Finnish-American artist living and working in Helsinki. She is a versatile artist who works with video, photography and drawing. Her approach is often humoristic, yet deals with humanly significant issues such as dying and aging, or young people and their thoughts. Presence plays an important role for the artist, from the beginning of the process to the presentation of the work. In recent years, Kuchka has expanded their expertise from installations to stage works, in collaboration with music and dance professionals and various communities. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 and was named Young Artist of the Year in 2006.
