Kuvan Kevät 2018: MFA Degree Show of the Academy of Fine Arts
Kuvan Kevät is the annual MFA Degree Show of the Academy of Fine Arts of Uniarts Helsinki. Kuvan Kevät presents new works by emerging artists from the Academy’s all four subject areas (painting, printmaking, sculpture, time and space arts). 35 students participate this year. The exhibition expands this year from The Academy of Fine art's own galleries to the old Amos Anderson art museum aswell.

May 8 17.00-17.30 A performance connected to the work of Milla Norman. Exhibition Laboratory.
May 9 13.00-14.00 Hami Bahadori: Safety and Possible Hazards. Safety and Possible Hazards is a work by Hami Bahadori. It consists of a short presentation followed by a gallery tour of part of the Kuvan Kevät 2018 exhibition. The focus of the conversation is on the topic of safety in relation to the artworks and gallery space as a site for displaying art.

May 13 Helsinki Art Walk gallery tour visits Kuvan Kevät. The tour starts at Muu galleria, Lönnrotinkatu 33, at 13.30 The gallery walk will be mostly in Finnish. Helsinki Art Walk will visit Project Room.
May 27 Helsinki Art Walk gallery tour visits Kuvan Kevät. The tour starts at Muu Kaapeli, Tallberginkatu 1 C, at 13.30. The gallery walk will be in English. Helsinki Art Walk visits Project Room and Exhibition Laboratory.

Lasse Juuti, maalaustaiteen opiskelija. Kirjallista reflektointia itsestä osallistujana ja teoksien tekijänä, sekä kuvailua miten prosessi etenee ja miten näyttely ripustuu.
Anne Naukkarinen on tila-aikataiteiden opiskelija. Hän kirjoittaa ja kuvaa blogiin how to _____ alone -esityksen työskentelyprosessin vaiheita ja ajatuksia liittyen Kuvan Kevääseen 2018.
Andreas Behn-Eschenburg, Student in Painting from Switzerland. In the blog he will show the steps and progress in preparing an exhibition for Kuvan Kevat and share his thoughts and expectations for the exhibition.
